Double screen Notebooks, an Advantage?

September 01, 2009 By: izephyr Category: Notebooks, Rumors About Tech, Technology News

In recent years of computing technology we’ve seen the usage of multiple monitor desktop computers by various it professionals especially by those who are working in the field of design or sometimes is researching about something. For the rest of the world, it seems to be quite useless. And this time it’s not the desktop; computer manufacturers have always wanted to present something new to the users to keep the computer industry interesting, up and running.

A notebook with two displays will sound fascinating but in reality it has already been rejected by the tech savvy people because of it’s being disadvantaged of having a bulky weight and poor battery life experience. So, the primary concern of portablity is significantly questioned.

May be the lighter and more energy efficient versions of notebook having two displays will be able to meet the expectation of the users.

Since facebook provides an API for the developers, the hackers are also trying to take the advantage of the application programming interface.

However, although the data safety is questioned, we rely on the developers and hope that security measures will be better over time.

Eskimohunter Premiers “Surfing at 32ºF” shot with NSeries

September 17, 2008 By: izephyr Category: Smartphone, Technology News

Nokia has always been promoting DVD-quality videography that started earlier with the NSeries devices like N91 and later releases of some other handsets. It is experimental to produce broadcast video programs with handheld devices and no other company has yet take the significant step like Nokia.

Mike Hodgkinson, a writer and video director from Hollywood has shot ‘up’ the new music video “Surfing at 32ºF” by Eskimohunter, which is a Los Angeles based band formed in 2002. Once again Nokia promotes their smartphones a show of portable and feature-rich multimedia computers.

“Surfing at 32ºF,” the second video directed and shot by Hodgkinson using Nokia Nseries devices. Basically three handsets are used in the video; Nokia N93, Nokia N93i and Nokia N95 all of which are equipped with Carl-Zeiss Optics and many other video capabilities. The director complements that they have shoot videos from 100 meters away or even from under the water. That sounds interesting.

This kind of projects really encourages new directors because they can do with which they already have with them. Thanks Nokia for such initiatives and should do more the kind so that everybody get to know the potentials of their devices.
